Detox in most cases will vary from 3 to 7 days, depending on the drug of choice, the length of time addicted and the frequency of use. After completion of the detoxification period, the individual becomes a resident of the program and begins Phase Two.
From the beginning, the assessment, evaluation and treatment planning begins. Within the first 48 hours of entering Phase Two, the resident has been assigned a primary therapist and extensive one on one therapy begins. The Therapist, Medical and Clinical Team have designed a precise and therapeutic program for the individual, addressing their personal needs. We look at what is going to work for them, not how is this individual going to work into our program. Within this 48 hours, the Treatment Plan is reviewed with the individual and goals and objectives set accordingly. The resident is part of their own treatment planning as well.
An individual may participate in not only individual counseling, but Group Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Massage Therapy, Anger Management and other programs, depending on their specific plan. As part of their program, a resident may wish to participate in the traditional Native American aspects of the program. What they learn about themselves in this particular part of the program is phenomenal and may be the life changing element in their life they are looking for.
This Phase of the program is not going to be easy for the resident. They have a lot to learn and a lot of old behavior to change in a short period of time. It is intense and extensive and at times difficult for the individual to confront. Our staff are with them through this process though and are committed to addressing not only the past that has brought them to this point, but also the future and maintaining their recovery one day at a time, for the rest of their lives.
We offer a 30, 60 and 90 day program, based on the individual and their needs. Not everyone needs a full 90 days - some can grasp and change their behaviors in a simple 30 day program, while others need more time. This is why we offer such a diverse program. Find out what is going to work for them and set their treatment plan accordingly. If if takes a full 90 days, then so be it. It is a short period of time in comparison to the rest of their drug free lives. It is also, a short period of time in comparison to re-uniting families and their lives together.
