Good nutrition can help develop the body's strength and boost the immune system which is generally depleted by alcohol and drug abuse.  At the Cedars you will have an option of being evaluated by a nutritionist who can assist you regaining strength and resistance to make your recovery more successful.  A Nutritionist can help you to understand your body and how it works through general nutritional education and provide you with information that will help you to make better choices for yourself promoting a healthy life style in your recovery.

Fitness:

Just as good nutrition is a part of recovery, so is physical fitness.  A good regimen of exercise helps the body to regain the strength and increase resistance that has been lost by alcohol and drug addiction.  At the Cedars you will be given the option to participate in a physical fitness program that will be tailored to your ability and needs.
